The flag of Estado Zulia, also known as the State of Zulia, is the official flag of Zulia, a state in northwestern Venezuela. The flag features three horizontal stripes of equal size in blue, green, and white. The blue stripe represents the sky and the sea, while the green stripe represents the land and agriculture. The white stripe symbolizes peace and unity.
In the center of the flag, there is a yellow five-pointed star, which represents the unity of the different regions and ethnic groups that make up the state. The star also represents the state capital, Maracaibo, which is known as the "City of the Star."
The flag was adopted on June 29, 2009, by the Regional Legislative Council of Zulia, after a competition to design the new flag. The winning design was created by Armando Petit.
The flag is an important symbol of the state's identity and is flown on official occasions and at public buildings.
